Biogas

Spain has enormous untapped biomethane potential. Renovae Bio was created to develop projects that valorise organic waste, especially livestock slurry, turning it into biofuel that can be injected into the gas grid.

We work with technology from our Belgian partner Biolectric, leaders in small and medium-scale biogas plants. Our goal is to develop 50 GWh/year biomethane plants connected to the grid.

Biomethane is a real solution for decarbonising sectors that are hard to electrify, such as heavy transport or industry with high-temperature processes. It also helps manage livestock waste sustainably.
