Biogas plants consume a significant amount of electricity to operate: agitators, pumps, upgrading, etc. This self-consumption can account for between 10% and 20% of the energy produced.

By installing solar PV and batteries, you can cover a large part of that consumption with solar energy, improving the plant’s energy balance and profitability.
